We are close to Stansted Airport, Braintree, Thaxted and Finchingfield. Wedding venues close by include Spains Hall, The Fennes Estate, Castle Hedingham, Leez Priory and Whitehall. Towerlands Equestrian Centre is 15 minutes away as is Freeport Designer Outlet Village. High Barn music venue is in the village and five minutes walk. There are two pubs in Great Bardfield, both offering food.

Locally, riding, golf and country walks abound. We can organise any of these activities in advance of your visit.

Bedroom Description:
Each bedroom is unique, with antique furniture, oriental rugs, comfortable beds and armchairs. We think quality feather and down pillows and duvets are important. However, if you suffer from allergies, we can provide synthetic bedding. The house is centrally heated, and electric blankets and double glazing ensure a warm and quiet night. You will find bathrobes, toiletries, tea and coffee tray, mineral water, hairdryer, heater rollers and plenty of fluffy bath sheets in your room.
