The Hostel AZ is situated right on Wenceslas Square - everything is walking distance from here + in the same building there's an internet coffee shop, phonebox, exchange office, pizza restaurant, hairdresser, solarium +
tram and underground (Mustek) is 1 min away.
For clubbers the hostel location, right on Prague's main shopping area, Wenceslas Square, is very close to Club Duplex and the Lucerna Music Bar, which has 80's and 90's nights on Fridays and Saturdays. There's also a great Irish bar nearby (Rocky O'Reilly) with a lively atmosphere early into the morning.
You can walk to all Prague's main tourist attractions, including Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Prague Castle and all the theatres (Národní Divadlo, Rudolfinum , Stavovské divadlo etc).
From Dec 1st onwards, Wenceslas Square hosts one of the many Prague Christmas markets and decorated trees. Prague Christmas markets are always busy despite the cold. Holiday items, crafts, traditional Christmas decorations and gifts are sold along with hot wine (svařené víno or svařák), grog, warm honey liquor (medovina) and traditional foods. Czech Christmas carols add to the festive atmosphere. After dark, the markets are lit up beautifully. |
