The Cloister Inn is located on the grounds of the medieval convent, founded in the middle ages by the Jesuits and occupied since 1856 by the Grey Sisters of St. Francis.

The cloister grounds are dominated by the Church of St. Bartholomew in Bartolomejska /next street/, which is where the first piano concert in Prague by ingenious Beethoven took place.
