Location:
Just a five minute walk from the Warschauer-Strasse S-Bahn station. Nearby you will find a street with lots of nice bars and restaurants.
The Sunflower is close to the Mitte disctrict of East Berlin. Strolling through the courtyards of the Hackeschen Höfe - the old commercial yards of the central Mitte district, their cobbled streets lined with candle-lit cafés and smart boutiques - it's hard to envisage these dim-lit grey streets before reunification.
Mitte was once a decaying district of East Berlin; today it is the city's vibrant, fashionable hub where young Berliners wander between the bars and cafés, or linger at tables below oversize umbrellas. This is a great place to start a summer evening. There are plenty of people-watching bars around the restored courtyards but, for a proper meal, the Hackescher Hof restaurant is an excellent bet, its high ceilings, industrial lamps and "nouvelle Deutsche" menu the epitome of Berlin's urban chic. |
Bedrooms:
